Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) P. Narayana mentioned that the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail Project is at present below examination by the Central authorities. A consultancy agency is conducting a research on the venture and the method is predicted to be accomplished inside two months. Following this, steps will probably be taken to expedite the venture with the goal of finishing the metro system inside three years, he added.
Addressing the media as a part of a regional workshop below the Urban Investment Window (UWIN) programme in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (March 15, 2025), Mr. Narayana mentioned that steps are being taken to develop a semi-ring street for the town on the strains of the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad.
