जन्म : 23 दिसंबर, 1899 को बेनीपुर, मुजफ्फरपुर (बिहार) में।

शिक्षा : साहित्य सम्मेलन से विशारद। स्वाधीनता सेनानी के रूप में लगभग नौ साल जेल में रहे। कांग्रेस सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के संस्थापकों में से एक। 1957 में प्रजा सोशलिस्ट पार्टी से विधायक चुने गए।

संपादित पत्र : तरुण भारत, किसान मित्र, गोलमाल, बालक, युवक, कैदी, लोक-संग्रह, कर्मवीर, योगी, जनता, तूफान, हिमालय, जनवाणी, चुन्नू-मुन्नू तथा नई धारा।
