Thunderstorm forecast for 14 Telangana districts on March 20

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm forecast for 14 Telangana districts for Friday (March 20, 2026).

According to the IMDs newest bulletin, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very prone to happen at remoted locations in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see partly cloudy sky. “Light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city towards evening or night. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32C and 21C respectively,” the bulletin stated.
