SANTA CLARA — For the second time in franchise history, the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions.
Led by their defense and Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, the Seahawks stymied the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX. Nicknamed the “Dark Side,” the Seahawks’ defense wreaked havoc on regular-season MVP runner-up quarterback Drake Maye, sacking him six times and forcing him to turn the ball over three times.
Seattle linebacker Derick Hall forced the first turnover of the game — his first since 2024 — in the third quarter with a strip sack. In the fourth quarter, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and safety Julian Love each snagged interceptions for the Seahawks.
The Patriots were held scoreless until Maye found wide receiver Mack Hollins for a 35-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 19-7 with 12:27 remaining. But thanks to those back-to-back interceptions on the Patriots’ next series, New England didn’t get any closer.
Walker paced Seattle’s offense with 135 rushing yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry. And Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, a first-round-pick-turned-journeyman, had a turnover-free game and competed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown.
Here are highlights from all the action at Levi’s Stadium as it unfolded.
