The National Weather Service in Des Moines issued a winter storm warning for a lot of central Iowa, together with Polk, Story and Marshall counties, starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. Western counties of Iowa have been additionally beneath the warning as of three p.m.
Snowfall accumulations between 5 and eight inches are potential.
