Saudi Arabia has introduced the Eid Al Fitr 2026 vacation for personal and authorities sector staff throughout the Kingdom on Wednesday, March 4.
The public vacation is about to start on Wednesday, March 18, which corresponds to twenty ninth of Ramadan, 1447 AH, and can final 4 days for all staff.
Normal work will resume on Sunday, March 22, the authority acknowledged.

The actual dates for Eid Al Fitr might be confirmed after the sighting of the Ramadan crescent.
Meanwhile, the UAE has already introduced the Eid Al Fitr public holiday for workers within the federal and personal sectors. For federal authorities entities, the Eid Al Fitr vacation will start on Thursday, March 19, 2026, and proceed till Sunday, March 22, 2026. Official working hours will resume on Monday, March 23, 2026.
For the private sector employees, the vacation will run from Thursday, March 19, 2026, till Saturday, March 21, 2026. Employees who usually work on Sundays might be required to return to work on Sunday, March 22.
The authorities clarified that if the holy month of Ramadan lasts 30 days, the non-public sector vacation might be prolonged to Sunday, March 22, 2026. The announcement applies throughout the UAE and follows established tips for private and non-private sector vacation schedules.
