Middle East disaster dwell: Trump ‘surprised’ Iran has focused Gulf nations and claims US ‘decimated’ Kharg Island | US-Israel conflict on Iran

Trump ‘shocked’ US allies within the Gulf have been focused

Donald Trump has stated he’s “surprised” that US allies within the Gulf have been focused by Iran, in an interview with NBC News.

The president referred to as these nations “terrific”, including that “they got shot at unnecessarily.” When speaking about Iran’s choice to focus on them, Trump stated it was “the biggest surprise I had of this whole thing.”

For a long time, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Oman have allowed US army bases, infrastructure or entry on their soil, and have been among the many largest consumers of American weapons and expertise. In return, the US has stood because the Gulf’s closest and most important army accomplice and protector.

Now many of those nations have growing concerns over the connection, analysts say, as they’re pulled deeper right into a conflict that they didn’t begin and had diplomatically tried to forestall.

While the Gulf anticipated to be caught within the backlash, the size of Iran’s marketing campaign of revenge has left many shocked. The Trump administration’s communications licensing tsar fired a warning shot over the US broadcasting trade Saturday, threatening to cancel the spectrum permits of broadcasters pushing what he termed “hoaxes and news distortions”.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair Brendan Carr posted on social media that broadcasters working “fake news – have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up. The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not.”

Carr’s warning comes amid sustained complaints from Trump and members of the administration over its remedy by what it derisively phrases “the mainstream media” and what it considers unflattering or unpatriotic protection of the battle in Iran.

In his put up, Carr copied a Truth Social put up by Trump complaining about “misleading” protection on Iran.
