Cruzeiro’s 1-0 win over Atlético-MG in Sunday’s Mineiro Championship last was overshadowed by a mass brawl that erupted seconds earlier than the ultimate whistle and resulted in 23 pink playing cards issued.
The scuffle began with 30 seconds remaining in stoppage time, when Atlético-MG goalkeeper Éverson saved out a shot from Matheus Pereira and, on the rebound, was tackled by Cruzeiro midfielder Christian.
Éverson obtained up and went after Christian, pinning him to the bottom together with his knee.
Players from each side rushed over to intervene whereas safety employees tried to separate the groups.
A clip has surfaced on-line of former Brazil worldwide Hulk, 39, who has been with Atlético-MG since 2021, trying to punch an opposing participant.
The match at the Mineirão was halted for eight minutes as referee Matheus Delgado waited for issues to relax earlier than blowing the ultimate whistle to crown Cruzeiro champions.

Jorge was one in all 12 Cruzeiro gamers who acquired a pink card retrospectively, whereas Éverson was among the many 11 Atletico-MG gamers dismissed.
