The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has pledged to fulfil its obligation in “confronting aggression” after assaults by Israel and the United States killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In an announcement on Sunday, the Iran-aligned group supplied condolences for Khamenei, who was killed together with different Iranian leaders in a joint US-Israeli assault on Iran early on Saturday.

So far, Hezbollah, which operates as a largely unbiased armed power inside Lebanon, has not taken motion towards Israel or US property for the reason that assaults started on Saturday.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated on Sunday that “the decision of war and peace rests solely with the Lebanese state”, after an emergency assembly of the nation’s Higher Defence Council.
