ENHYPEN’s Heeseung publicizes departure from group

Heeseung of Ok-pop boy band ENHYPEN will depart the group, his company Belift Lab introduced Tuesday.

In an announcement posted on fan platform Weverse, the corporate mentioned it had held intensive discussions with the members in regards to the group’s future route and targets.

“Through deep conversations about each member’s vision for the future and the team’s direction, we confirmed that Heeseung has a clear musical path he wishes to pursue,” the company mentioned. “After careful consideration, we decided to respect his aspirations.”

The HYBE Labels subsidiary mentioned the 24-year-old singer will depart the group and ENHYPEN will proceed actions as a six-member act throughout its upcoming promotional schedule.

“Although it is difficult to explain every detail in a short statement, we want to emphasize that this decision was made after a long period of deliberation,” the corporate mentioned. “We understand that this news may be difficult for fans to accept, but we hope you will understand that it was made with the future of both ENHYPEN and Heeseung in mind.”

Belift Lab added that ENHYPEN would proceed delivering robust performances and power to followers, identified collectively as ENGENE. Heeseung will stay below Belift Lab and plans to launch a solo album.

Heeseung additionally shared a message with followers following the announcement.

“Thanks to the members with whom I shared countless emotions, and to ENGENE, who always filled every empty space with their support, I was able to take step after step toward a dream that once felt out of reach,” he mentioned. “I am working hard on an album so I can meet you all again soon. I will move forward with the love from ENGENE always in my heart.”

Heeseung debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in November 2020 after showing on the survival audition program “I-LAND.” The group entered the Ok-pop scene with its first album, “BORDER : DAY ONE.”
