Delhi police secure top position in Jan for crime and criminal tracking

New Delhi: In the primary month of 2026, Delhi Police secured the highest place amongst all states and Union territories on the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) Pragati dashboard.The dashboard is monitored by the ministry of residence affairs and the National Crime Records Bureau. It evaluates states and Union territories on the standard, amount, timeliness and accuracy of knowledge uploaded to nationwide platforms below CCTNS and the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS).CCTNS is a nationwide e-governance challenge that connects police stations by way of a typical digital platform. Special commissioner of police (crime) Devesh Chandra Srivastva stated, “This has been possible due to continuous monitoring of data quality and compliance, real-time coordination with districts and police stations, timely resolution of technical and procedural challenges, and regular guidance and capacity-building of field units. The efforts of all police districts have been equally instrumental, with officers ensuring strict adherence to timelines, prompt and accurate updating of investigation records, effective digitisation of data, and close coordination with supervisory and technical teams.“Delhi Police additionally participated within the forty fourth All India Police Equestrian Competition and Mounted Police Duty Meet held on the Border Security Force Academy, successful one gold, two silver and one bronze medal in present leaping occasions.
