Hyderabad: Amid protests from residents, Disaster Response Force (DRF) groups of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Monday demolished a compound wall that blocked a street on the Praneeth Antilia villa neighborhood in Bachupally.
Soon after the DRF groups reached the spot, residents of the Praneeth Antilia villas gathered in massive numbers and tried to cease the earthmovers deployed for the demolition. Police from Bachupally had been deployed on the web site to take care of legislation and order through the operation. A heated argument broke out between residents and the HYDRAA groups, with some residents staging a dharna on the location. Women police personnel later eliminated the protesters from the positioning, after which HYDRAA officers continued with the demolition work.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency Commissioner A.V. Ranganath stated the motion was taken following instructions from the High Court. In an announcement, he stated HYDRAA had issued notices to the Praneeth Antilia group housing structure to take away the compound wall constructed across the premises.
“Praneeth Antilia is not a gated community as per the HMDA-approved plan and there are no peripheral roads. HYDRAA had removed the compound wall about six months ago, but the Praneeth Antilia society approached the High Court,” he stated.
Ranganath defined that site visitors alongside the Mallampet–Bachupally street had elevated considerably after the opening of Exit 4 (Mallampet exit) on the Outer Ring Road, resulting in extreme congestion within the space. He stated a number of colonies in and round Mallampet had requested HYDRAA to open various routes to ease site visitors.
Following consultations with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and the site visitors police, HYDRAA determined to open another route by way of the Praneeth Antilia structure. “For nearly 12 years, residents of the layout enjoyed the benefits of a gated community even though it is a normal group housing layout,” the commissioner stated.
He added that eradicating the compound wall and opening the street would assist ease site visitors congestion and profit 1000’s of residents within the surrounding areas.
