The Allahabad High Court has ordered around the clock safety for a Muslim man from Bareilly who was allegedly stopped from providing Namaz inside his personal home.
Khan had earlier sought permission to conduct a non secular congregation to supply Namaz at his personal home. The State had then told the Court that doesn’t require any sort of permission below the regulation to pursue an act which is his elementary proper below Article 25 of the Constitution.
It is now alleged that Khan was picked up from his home and challaned by the Police whereas providing Namaz. He was additionally threatened with demolition and made to signal clean papers.
In this backdrop, a contempt petition was filed in opposition to the State authorities.
On a pointed question as as to if permission was looked for finishing up Namaz in personal property, the Additional Advocate General showing for the State conceded that permission was really sought from all of the individuals current in the home.
In this backdrop, the Court has granted police safety to Khan. “The said guards shall accompany him wherever he goes,” it mentioned.
