The first day of the standard Marathi New Year was noticed with processions and spiritual gatherings in cities throughout the state on the event of Gudi Padwa. Citizens participated within the festivities by hoisting the Gudi and attending group occasions. The celebrations included processions in Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur, and different areas, that includes conventional music ensembles.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended a procession in Nagpur. A collective recitation of the Ramraksha Stotra was performed on the venue. Mr. Fadnavis acknowledged that the pageant holds significance within the tradition and urged residents to undertake optimistic resolutions for the brand new yr. He added that collective efforts from residents are required for nationwide progress.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde participated in a procession in Thane. The procession started on the Kopineshwar Temple. MLAs Sanjay Kelkar and Niranjan Davkhare, and MP Naresh Maske had been current. Citizens lined the streets to observe the procession. The occasion included performances by Dhol and Tasha troupes and Lezim dancers.

In Dombivli, a procession featured girls using bikes and bicycles. Participants, wearing conventional apparel, hoisted the Gudi on their automobiles.
At the Tuljabhavani Temple, the Gudi was hoisted on the temple spire following the morning Aarti. A worship ceremony was performed by the chief monks. The Vitthal-Rukmini Temple was adorned with flowers. Devotees visited temples throughout the state on the day, which is taken into account one of many three-and-a-half auspicious moments within the Hindu calendar.
