 New Delhi, Mar 10 (KNS): More than 11.6 lakh farmer functions have been enrolled beneath the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) in Jammu and Kashmir for the reason that inception of the scheme, with claims value Rs 166.7 crore paid to 2.8 lakh farmer functions until the Kharif 2025 season, the federal government knowledgeable the Lok Sabha.

The remaining actuarial premium is shared between the Centre and states on a 50:50 foundation. However, in northeastern and Himalayan states, together with Jammu and Kashmir, the premium is shared within the ratio of 90:10 between the Centre and the state or UT authorities.
