Pawan Hans helicopter crashes into sea earlier than touchdown close to Mayabunder| India News

A Pawan Hans helicopter crashed into the ocean shortly after taking off on Tuesday morning from Port Blair – a city within the northern a part of Middle Andaman Island. The helicopter was reportedly carrying seven folks.

All passengers of the helicopter belonging to the nationwide chopper provider have been reported to be protected.

The incident came about round 9:30 am on Tuesday, Pawan Hans spokesperson mentioned, including that the helicopter skilled a “short landing incident near Mayabunder in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands”.

“The helicopter had taken off from Port Blair with two crew members and five passengers on board. All have been rescued and are safe. No injuries have been reported,” the Pawan Hans spokesperson added.

Officials conscious of the matter mentioned the helicopter ditched into the ocean 300 metres wanting the runway, at round 9.30 am when it was to land in Mayabunder.

This comes a day after an air ambulance plane crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra, killing all seven folks on board.

The Beechcraft C90 air ambulance, operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, was en path to Delhi from Ranchi when it crashed on Monday night within the Bariatu Panchayat space of Simaria, situated deep inside a forest.

The deceased have been recognized as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Dr Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Archana Devi and Dhuru Kumar.

In an announcement, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) mentioned the Beechcraft C90 plane (VT-AJV) was working a medical evacuation flight on the Ranchi-Delhi sector when it crashed in Kasaria Panchayat of Chatra district.

“The aircraft was airborne from Ranchi at 19:11 IST. After establishing contact with Kolkata at 19:34 IST, the aircraft lost communication and radar contact with Kolkata at approximately 100 nautical miles south-east of Varanasi,” it mentioned.
