OVERBERGER, ELIZABETH A. (Pardee), 91, Hastings, handed away February 22, 2026, at residence surrounded by her loving household. Born April 19, 1934, in Colver, daughter of the late Edward E. and Sylvia (Lloyd) Pardee. Preceded in dying by husband Joseph B. Overberger Sr., who died July 10, 2011. His dying ended 57 years of marriage. Also preceded in dying by grandson, Adam Bearer; brothers, Gordon “Tom” Pardee; William “PeeWee” Pardee; sister, Ruth Skitka and Margaret Pardee. Survived by youngsters, Karen (James) Bearer; Brenda (Daniel) Dupas; Patricia (Mark) Miller; all of Hastings; Joyce (Brian) Shuma, Blairsville; and Joseph B. (Loretta Ebell) Overberger, Jr., Roy, New Mexico; ten grandchildren and 4 nice grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers and three sisters. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Liz served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 343, Barnesboro, for 2 phrases (1980–1981 and 1982–1983). For 19 years, she labored alongside Alfaretta “Freddie” Stafford coordinating weddings and banquets at VFW Post 343. She additionally served as Assistant Manager of Bingo, which they ran collectively for 9 years. Additionally, she labored part-time for the Northern Cambria School District for 9 years within the cafeteria at each the High School and Middle School. Joe and Liz liked touring collectively and spent a few years exploring the United States of their Jayco trailer, visiting each state besides Alaska. At the request of the deceased there will likely be no viewing or visitation. Funeral Mass will likely be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Fr. Thaddeus E. Rettger O.S.B., celebrant. Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery.
