A South Side bar says it has carried out a full investigation with the Allegheny County Health Department and introduced in extra pest management providers after a rat was discovered on its beer faucets.
In a press release, Urban Tap stated there’s a video circulating of a rat under beer taps at its South Side location on East Carson Street in Pittsburgh.
Urban Tap workers instantly contacted the county well being division and introduced in pest management providers, the assertion stated.
“We conducted a full inspection of the building with the Allegheny (County) Health Department, reinforcing all possible entry points, increasing monitoring and tightening our sanitation and nightly procedures,” the assertion stated.
“There is construction happening behind our building that has increased rodent activity in the area. That context matters — but it does not excuse what happened.”

Urban Tap’s assertion stated the bar is dedicated to sustaining a clear and secure setting.
